Children’s Choirs
Cherub Choir
Preschool Ages 3 & 4
Our preschool children learn to sing praise to God using hymns and songs that include motion, rhythm, and repetition. The Cherub Choir usually sings once a month at the 11:00 worship. Rehearsals are Wednesday, 6:00 – 7:00 pm in room B110.
Alleluia Choir
Grades Kindergarten thru 2nd
Alleluia Choir sings each month at worship. They continue to learn hymns from our hymnals as well as beginning to learn the songs from our liturgy. Rhythm instruments and bells are used to help the children see the interrelationships of music and movement. Crafts and activities are integrated into the program to keep the children active and involved. Rehearsals are Wednesday, 6:00 – 7:00 pm in room B106.
Luther Choir
Grades 3rd thru 5th
The Luther Choir offers the older elementary school children an opportunity to understand their role as worship leaders. Unison and two-part anthems as well as the complete liturgy are important parts of the music learned by this choir. Recorders and Orff instruments are used as key teaching tools with the children. Rehearsals are Wednesday, 6:30 – 7:00 pm in room B103.
Jubilee Ringers
The Jubilee Ringers use a four octave set of Malmark Chimes to ring praises to our Lord. This is a popular choir and is open to all children in grades 3 through 5. Basic fundamentals of rhythm and notation are taught to build a foundation of music knowledge. Rehearsals are Wednesday, 6:00 – 6:30 pm in room B103.
