Youth Ministry (6th-12th Grades)

Connect: to join or fasten together; to establish in relationship

Our Vision

The children and youth programs exist to lead children and youth to an understanding of Christ’s love through grace and to help them to live in the world as His disciples serving wholeheartedly with thankfulness, integrity and an unselfish love for others.

Our Mission

To Love God, grow in our relationship with Him through Jesus Christ, and serve Him in all we do through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ways to Connect:

Sunday Morning

10:15 am in the Basement Level

New Beginnings

Sundays, 5:45 - 6:15 pm
Our Middle School and High School youth participate in worship with their contemporary instrumental ensemble known as New Beginnings. They lead the Wednesday evening worship service each week at 7:00pm as well as prepare a special anthem monthly for the 11:00 worship service. Twice a year, they plan and lead the music for all three worship services on Sunday morning.

Saved with Amazing Grace (SWAG)

Sundays, 6:15 - 8:30pm
Middle School and High School Youth gather together in Shepherd’s Hall for dinner, followed by some fun and games. We then head to the Youth Room for a Bible study that is relative to what’s going on in the world and our own lives. We end the evening in prayer. Parent volunteers are needed to supply dinner and as small group leaders.

Extreme Team

Wednesday, 6:30 - 8:30 pm
Extreme Team is a program for High School youth that combines Bible Study and worship development. A mini “Worshiptivity” for our congregation. Extreme Team will work with New Beginnings to lead a brief worship at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary. After worship we will meet in the youth room for a Bible Study on the following Wednesday night’s worship theme and then break into teams to work on the skit/sermon, liturgy/prayers and music selection. Once the worship is created the Extreme Team will provide the worship leadership the next Wednesday evening during worship.

Wednesday, 7:00-8:30 pm
Our 6th - 8th graders attend weekly Confirmation classes. This is a three year comprehensive program that includes small groups, worship, homework, confirmation mentors, memory work, family service projects, retreats, video and music clips.
